Bed Occupancy from RAPID for Covid, Flu and RSV

Weekly bed occupancy derived from records on admissions as an emergency to a hospital in Scotland in Rapid Preliminary Inpatient Data (RAPID), where patients had laboratory-confirmed COVID-19, Influenza and respiratory syncytial virus (RSV).

Hospital occupancy is calculated from admission and discharge dates provided in RAPID, with inpatient days counted from date of admission to date of discharge. As discharge dates are often missing or completed late in RAPID, missing dates are imputed for Occupancy and LOS calculations. Occupancy for a week is calculated as the mean over the 7 days.
