Information on probable suicides registered in Scotland in the period 2011-2019, by healthcare service contacted prior to death, age and sex. The period for contact before death is 3 months for A&E Attendance, and 12 months for all other services.

| TimeRange | text | Denotes the calendar years covered by this dataset. This summarises 9 years' worth of data from 1 January 2011 to 31 December 2019. | |
| Country | text | 9-digit code for NHS Scotland as a whole. | |
| Age | text | Refers to the individual's age at death. Ages have been arranged in four different groups. | |
| Sex | text | The individual's sex. | |
| IndividualsCount | numeric | The total number of individuals whose underlying cause of death is classified as ‘intentional self-harm’ or ‘event of undetermined intent’. | |
| IndividualsCountQF | text | A qualifier to give extra information about the individual count. |
