Vaccine Uptake by Health Board
Number and percentage of women vaccinated against COVID-19 during pregnancy in Scotland, by maternal health board and month.
An unlinked analysis has been used to calculate the uptake of vaccination during pregnancy. The denominator for this analysis is a 'snapshot' of the number of women pregnant at the start of a specified month, e.g. on 1 Dec 2020. The numerator is all women vaccinated during pregnancy in that month, e.g. Dec 2020.
We would never expect 100% of pregnant women to be vaccinated in any one month for the following reasons: - Women can be vaccinated at any stage of pregnancy and are called for vaccination as they become eligible based on their age or risk group. - As roll out of the vaccination programme progresses, increasing numbers of women will have had the opportunity to receive vaccination prior to becoming pregnant which will influence the number eligible to be vaccinated during pregnancy.
