Coverage by delivery
Number and percentage of women vaccinated against COVID-19 by the time of delivery in Scotland, by month.
A linked analysis has been used to caculate the coverage of vaccination by the time of delivery. The denominator for this analysis is all women delivering a baby during a specified month, e.g. Dec 2020. Women delivering live and stillborn babies are included. Women delivering singleton (one baby) and multiple (twins or more) pregnancies are included. The numerator is the number of these women who have received COVID-19 vaccination prior to or during pregnancy.
We would expect this measure of vaccination coverage to be very low for women delivering shortly after the vaccination programme started on 8 Dec 2020. We would expect the measure to increase over time, as the vaccination programme is rolled out and women have had more opportunity to be vaccinated prior to or during pregnancy.
