Time frame of data and timeliness SMR data is expected to be received by PHS 6 weeks (42 days) following the end of the month of discharge/clinic date.
Coverage Covers all NHS health boards as well as the State Hospitals Board for Scotland and the Golden Jubilee National Hospital over the most recent 4 calendar and financial years and recent complete quarters that should be complete at the last monthly deadline for submission.
Accuracy NHS data providers will know how complete their SMR submissions are and the extent of any backlog.
Continuity of data Data is continuously reported since 2019, all periods prior to these reported are considered to be complete.
Concepts and definitions Where the completeness is marked as "z" (not applicable) this indicates that no SMR is expected.
Disclosure No disclosure controls are applied.
Revision statement These data are not subject to planned major revisions. However, the data is effectively revised every time the table is updated.
